Tax Relief The Tax Relief Credit is a grant, and never has to be paid back by the property owner.For 2008, the maximum tax relief income limits: 2007 Annual income limit of $24,790 SS Maximum Monthly Income of $1,735* SS Factor until 12/31/07 of 11.6166* County: $176.25* You may be eligible for Tax Relief if you are: 100% disabled veteran or widow(er) of a disabled veteran who meets additional state requirements. Spouse of a soldier killed in action. Applicants must live on and use the property (for which they are applying for Tax Relief) as their primary residence. Only one place of residence may receive Tax Relief assistance per year. To apply for Tax Relief contact Customer Service at (865) 457-6233. Signed applications must be received in our office before April 7, 2009. To ensure prompt processing, it is recommended that applications be returned to Trustee Customer Service prior to December 31, 2008.
